CHARMING TEAK BENCH
During recent renovations to a local school a number of benches and desks were replaced and we have been fortunate to acquire many of them. Here is an example of a charming small vintage school bench made from old teak that resonates character and appeal. Given it’s age and use the bench has an impressive and wonderful patina.
This lovely item of furniture has been constructed using old teak wood with a fabulous patina in a rich golden honey-like colour. This bench is of vintage age, likely the 1950’s and originated from an old school in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. In the construction are two vertical supports aiding strength along with a low cross stretcher.
A wonderful bench that could be used in a hallway/entranceway and to possibly be a stand for potted plants. Equally, it could be used in a child’s bedroom or along a landing/hallway.
Made in India.
