ORIGINAL PAINTED CABINET
Further to our wonderful collection of original painted furniture is this stunning cabinet. Originating from Jodhpur, Rajasthan this cabinet has been made using a native Indian hardwood – mango wood. The hand painting has been undertaken by a small family group of highly skilled atrists from a small rural village outside of the ‘blue’ city. This size cabinet will more often than not have at least two if not three people working on it simultaneously. The paintings depicted on this piece are of historical hunting scenes with elephants and horses being riden alongside a number of persons. Filled with character and charm this piece is brightly coloured throughout, while additional hand written script has been applied.
