Vintage Child’s Teak Desk
Approximately 60 years old, this teak writing table is a simple yet charming piece and is a wonderful example of the beauty of aged teak. Taking on a golden brown hue as it ages, the grain on this piece really stands out and, coupled with a bit of wear from love and use, gives this charming piece lots of character. Below the rustic yet durable top are two drawers, one wider than the other, that are perfect for storing papers and stationary. Both drawers have their original sturdy metal handles. The desk also has a small cupboard with a lockable clasp and one internal shelf, creating two spaces for storage. The table sits on top of four slim wooden legs that are connected with a cross brace which has a couple of small flashes of paint most likely spilt their by a previous owner. Don’t let this deter you, however. This wonderful small desk would be perfect for a child’s bedroom or play room or in a hallway or on the landing.
