This stunning and exceptional sideboard has been made from reclaimed vintage hardwoods. In addition to this you will find a beautifully hand carved panel incorporated into the piece. The sideboard is both impressive and distinctive in look and colour. The doors have cross banding metal with protruding studwork that encapsulates Rajasthan, it’s culture and history. There is a intricate hand carved panel running across the front of the piece. This further enhances the overall look, while acknowledging skilled craftsmanship. Inside you will find a fitted shelf and each door has a metal ring handle set on a starburst backing.
This eye-catching item of furniture originates from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Skilled craftsmen have constructed this from different reclaimed teak wood timbers. These have previously been used in earlier items of furniture. This particular piece has incorporated into it a wonderful old hand carved panel that resonates craftsmanship and culture. The old ‘Rajasthan’ doors which have been used in the creation of this piece, have cross metal banding with wonderful protruding studs. Above all, this adds to it’s overall look and character. Attached to each door is a large metal ring handle on a metal sunburst effect backing. Inside the sideboard this is an inner shelf, providing further storage options. There is a mix of colour with a pale-yellow being the dominant one. The whole piece has a sympathetically aged-distressed style look.
A wonderful item of furniture that could be utilised in a dining room to house drinks and/or crockery. Equally, it could be used in a kitchen, again to house crockery and/or food.
Made in India.
