HAND CARVED FLORAL TRUNK
This intricately hand carved mango trunk flourishes with a floral design and finished in a loose ‘blue-wash’. It was made in south Jodhpur by highly skilled artisan craftsman and is an eye-catching item of furniture. A lovely piece both striking and charming in character and bringing a little piece of Rajasthan into the home.
Visual Description
A partical and attractive piece. This trunl has a floral design carved onto the front panel. The sides, top and back are all plain and the overall colour is in a loose ‘blue-wash’. There is a leaf shaped hasp to the front and two iron handles, one on each end. THe box stay open with the support of two chains.
Uses
Ideal for storage, this piece would work well in a hallway for bags or shoes, or maybe at the end of a bed. Alternatively, this trunk could be utilised as a coffee table or possibly a tv unit.
